How AI can help with academic research

In the thick of my latest research project on the Byzantine Empire and tell you, compiling bibliography can be royal pain. Having to pore over hundreds of sources books, journals, articles, you name it! Always on the hunt for reliable sources that can add weight to my arguments. JSTOR has been my go-to for years now; their archive is enormous and you're almost always guaranteed to find something relevant. But man, that $19.50 monthly subscription starts to sting after while. On another note, anyone else feel like they're doing mental gymnastics when choosing between research paper services? Last week, was torn between Paper Help and Edu Birdie. Paper Help seemed to have better customer reviews but Edu Birdie had wider range of topics they could assist with. Ngl. Not to mention they were slightly cheaper too. Ended up going with Paper Help 'cause they offered discount for first-time users. Can't say regret it yet; the draft they've given me is pretty solid. Curious though, any of you used tools like Ref-N-Write or Assignment for academic writing before? Worth considering as another weapon in the ol’ research arsenal?
