I'm a theatre major, but I have to take a math credit. I'm in "Math for Liberal Arts Majors," which is supposed to be the easy route. It is not easy for me. I was using a final exam calculator to figure out what I need on the final to get a C. The target number? 63%. I was actually relieved! I texted a screenshot to my roommate, who is an engineering major, with the caption: "I just need a D on the final to pass the class, let's GOOO!" He texted back a laughing emoji and a screenshot from his own final exam calculator. His target to pass his thermodynamics class? 112%. He said my post made his day. It really put things in perspective. We're both stressed, but in totally different dimensions of math. Shout out to all the humanities majors barely surviving our required math classes, and to the engineering majors who need to literally achieve the impossible. We're all in this together, I guess.
