So, in fit of desperation (and mild panic), decided to try out an research assistant. You know, those software tools that claim to help you write better research papers? Did some poking around on the internet and found couple of interesting ones. One is called 'Ref-N-Write. It's kind of mixed bag. On one hand, it has some neat features like finding suitable phrases for your paper from published content. Quite handy when you're trying to articulate complex ideas. On the other hand, though, the price tag is steep—around $45 for six months! That's almost as painful as my deadline!
