Things nobody tells you:

• "Rejection is not a verdict. It's a noisy signal from an overworked volunteer."
• Reviewers disagree. One says "groundbreaking," one says "trivial." This is normal .
• You will cut 50% of your paper at least once. It will be better for it .

The Mindset Shift:
A research paper is NOT a term paper. You are not proving you did the reading. You are educating the reader. If they are confused, that is feedback—not their fault .
